Lessons I learned, Lessons I Taught

The Educators’ Cooperative (EDCO), Tennessee State University, and RADAR615 present an exhibition celebrating five years of EDCO’s Culture Corner conversations connecting Nashville educators with Black artists and creators.

A Lesson I Learned: A Lesson I Taught brings the work of 30 artists and creators who participated in Culture Corner into a physical gallery setting. The exhibition moves conversations that began on Zoom in 2020 into a shared community space—connecting artists, teachers, TSU students, and the public.

The show is coordinated by students in Tennessee State University’s inaugural ART 3280: Non-Profit Arts course, giving them hands-on experience communicating with artists, coordinating artwork, working with a gallery, and producing a professional exhibition.

The RADAR space will be open for visits from area school groups throughout the run of the show and will host a fund-raiser for The Educators’ Cooperative on the evening of Thursday, October 8th.
